I have created a body, split the body, and created separate components of each. I shell the right right side to 3.5mm no problem, but the left side wont shell more than 2.6mm or i get this error (see attachment). Both components are symetrical.

@KhaiE you could try shelling the part before splitting, it might give you an idea where the problem is. To shell before splitting you need to select the body from the browser or window select if you have select through enabled.

Edit. Missed the bit about the 2 halves bing symmetrical. Shelling first might be a workaround but it would be helpful if you can share the design to find a fix for the problem you're having.
