Cannot Create a Copy of a File

I am attempting to copy a file to begin work on a new design.  Fusion will begin to show the copy (graphical placeholder in the folder and a spinning disc), but it will not copy the file.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Josh,

 

I'm not sure what is causing this copy to fail, could you send your diagnostic log files to me (or post here) so we can investigate further.

Hi Josh,

 

Unfortunately I wasn't able to spot any relevant errors in the logs and I haven't yet been able to find any related problems in our server side logs. Does the problem continue for you now ? (Does it still fail if you try to copy again). If it does, would you be willing to invite me to the relevant project temporarily so I can investigate further ?

 

I will also continue to look at our server logs and broaden the search to hopefully find more information.

When I get this (more often than I'd like), I just open the file I'd like to copy and do a Save As from the menu.

I did manage to reproduce this issue, the trigger for me appeared to be increasing model size to 40Mb+ and then mixing saving of new versions with attempts to Copy.

 

Now that I can reproduce, we will hopefully be able to track the issue down.

Hi Josh,

 

We investigated what was happening here and found a problem with one of our services which was timing out when copying designs larger than a specific size. This problem has been resolved, and my test is succeeding. Could you confirm whether you are still seeing issues ?
