Cannot close design without saving in offline mode

I opened a local file (New Design from File) that I wanted to grab some dimensions from, but not save. In online mode you can close the design without saving, but in offline mode it forces you to save the file before you can close it. Pretty annoying.

Mac OS version.

It exists in PC as well. I'm not working in Fusion today, so I'm "eh, whatever", but I thought I'd just toss this screencast here to show the behavior:

Clearly looks like a bug. Thanks Seth for the video because this is not reliably reproducible for me if I manually force fusion offline.

I'll log it.

Hi dcphoto, LibertyMachine

we are very sorry, that you have this problem with working on Offline mode.

It seems to be a problem with not available list of Projects - it's visible on the screencast video from LibertyMachine, "Location" editbox in Save As dialog is empty.

Issue is reproducible in this case. Defect has been logged in our issue tracking system.

Regards

 Roman

Hi,

Till we solve it, here is a simple workaround. Uncheck the option "Automatic Version on Close" in Preferences if it is checked. Then after if you close Fusion with unsaved designs, following dialog will appear. Select "Don't Save" to close the Fusion. Design will not be saved and Fusion will be closed.

I hope it might be useful.

Hi dcphoto , LibertyMachine

In Offline mode is one case when you can't see Projects in the Save As dialog.... If you are in Offline mode and open in Data Panel "My Recent Data". Please, could you verify that this is your case ? Or you was without access to your Projects from uknown reason ?

Thank you

 Roman

I could access the Projects that were cached in my computer.

All I had done was opened up Fusion to double check a tool library function. With the current blank document opened, I created a simple block. Gave it a 2D Contour path to check something that was bouncing around in my head. Confirmed my thoughts. Went to close Fusion, but it wouldn't let me just exit without saving.

CTRL+ALT+DEL and hard closed it through the task manager
