Can't select spline curves for Loft input Profiles

I cannot seem to figure out how to get the two spline curves on the vertical yellow plane in the screenshot below to be selected as Profile inputs for the Loft feature; have been going nuts trying to figure this out and would appreciate help.

Thank you!

Hi @klcjr89

The spline profiles on the plane are not clear from the photo you attached.

Can you post a front view of the plane or any other photos with a clear view of the splines?

There is no profile "To ---"

Loft works from here to there,

In the patch area, you can select the curves, but in the Model area it has to be a profile, (shaded section of the sketch)

you could place a line from the base of one curve to the base of the other curve to make the profile,

but towards the centre of the lower sketch there is no "To here" Profile

However in the Patch area you can sweep each vertical curve along the rails they connect to.

Might help....

Hello, here are the two blue splines, each has the common endpoint at the top/apex: SS.png

I am really confused, when I have three points on the spline I get the 'Sharp' option in Loft, but with only two points I can't select it as a profile, because I'm wanting the 'Free' profile option and not 'Sharp'. Thank you!

Fair enough,

Loft Commands work in the Model area with a series of closed sketch profiles.

In the Patch aera, it only needs curve or lines, a series of them, and

in both areas needs at least two profiles, and as many rails as you like.

So if you were to loft (Profile1) to (Profile 2) its like saying give me a model that is profile 1 shape here, and modify itself on the way to Profile2, here,

you sshot shows two curve on a plane at the end of a spoke, with a rail coming away from them, but no closed profile, and if these curves are patterned to the other spoke ends, we can't see them.

Thanks for the reply, I did not create the end profile of the spoke yet, I was simply trying to figure out why I can't select the curve as a loft input when I'm modeling. I didn't want to proceed any further until I could get the first profile to be registered as an input so as to not waste time.

You are in Model Space, change to Patch Space, as shown in the Scast, or make a profile that is closed

You have selected a point as profille 1, not the curve because Fusion wants a closed profile in Model space, but will also accept the Point for a Pyramid type body, if you make the second profile the base.of the Pyramid, that would work.
