Can't register free trial to paid subscription

I have a free trial that has expired. My IT Department bought a subscription and gave me the Serial# and Product Key but I cannot a menu where I can activate. Can you please tell me where I need to go to get this activated? Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous - are you sure this serial number and product key were for Fusion 360?

Yes, they are for Fusion 360. I need to know where I need to go to add the product key and serial number. When I open my software it just opens right up, there is no trial screen that opens. Also when I go into the Management screen, it does not show the trial either.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

If your company has purchased a multi-seat subscription, the software coordinator or contract manager will need to assign your the subscription benefits through the named user accounts in the Autodesk Accounts website. 

 

The below FAQ details how to accomplish this.

You may need to share this with your software coordinator or contract manager. I hope this information helps. 

 

If you are not using a  multi-seat subscription, please let us know which mechanism you've used to purchase a subscription and I can escalate this issue internally.

It is a New Subscription (annual), 1 Seat - single user. This was purchased through one of our local software suppliers, Direct Electronics Plus.

Can you forward me the confirmation/receipt email or post an order number that is normally sent when you purchase? Feel free to email me directly nathan.chandler@autodesk.com. I can use this information to help me determine which e-mail address the subscription has been associated with and track down your order. I haven't been able to locate the subscription and I can see that it has not yet synced to the Autodesk Account associated with @Anonymous.

Hi,

 

You need to do the following to use this license.

 

1. Have the purchase (contract manager) see the contact email used to purchase the subscription into the Autodesk Accounts webpage. 

2. The contract manager then needs to Add a new user to the User management. Note that this user should be you, using the e-mail address you use to sign into Fusion with.

3. Last the contract manager needs to set permission for each user. This mean he needs to assign the Fusion subscription to you. Note that he may have to unassign it from himself.

 

Please note that I have removed the attachments from your previous post to protect privacy.

We got it to work thank you for your help.

 

But now I have a problem opening Drawing files. Attached is the error, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software with no luck. Can you please help with these? Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous - sorry for all of the hassles in getting you up and running.  For the drawings issue, did you happen to follow the instructions here?  It's an issue that was introduced with the last update, and should be fixed soon, but in the meantime the workaround is necessary.
