Can't Move Spline Point??

Anonymous

See picture for affected spline points.

Basically, I cannot click and drag these points to new locations within the 2D sketch. They simply refuse to move. If I click on them, they show no constraints. They are not attached to any other geometry (I broke all links just in case). They are not fixed. I can click on the spline itself and move it around, but not the individual points.

I'd rather not delete the spline and re-draw it, since that would mean breaking all the features it is used in and going through fixing them one by one. Any reason why I wouldn't be able to move these points? I can move the two points directly above them, which were drawn in the same way in the same original sketch.

Honestly no, I couldn't find any solutions and I needed to keep working on the file so I just deleted the spline and redrew it and went through the history and fixed everything by hand. 😕

Would still love to know why I couldn't move the points though.

You should see in the picture one point is showing yellow colour.

You click on the Point and delete unsatisfied constraints.

I did click on the point. There were no constraints. Also, it's only glowing (not yellow) because my mouse was hovering over it. (My Prtn Scrn doesn't capture the mouse) The other black point couldn't be moved either. The black one DID have one constraint, connecting the end point of the spline and the end point of the straight line connected to it. When I deleted that constraint, I could freely move the end point of the straight line elsewhere, but not the end point of the spline.

If I ever run into the issue again, I'll come back with the file.

You should attach the design of your project to understand correctly and what is the Problem you face in Design.

It has been some time but today I came to this question since it was one of the top search results. The problem, for me, was that I inadvertently moved control points in 3D, leaving the original plane, after that I could only move the points by selecting it and moving via M command. So, be careful with 3D sketches.
