Can't move/rotate/scale this simple sketch

Although I'm kind of new to Fusion 360 I'm surprised that I can't figure out why I can't move/rotate/scale this simple sketch of text.  I made a 2 minute video if anyone can please let me know what you think I'm doing wrong please.

Thank you,

Rick

You need to attach your model for a definitive answer.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Okay thank you.  I didn't save the sketched text so when I get a chance to create a new sketch of text and if it fails again, I'll upload the model so you can please check it for me.  Thanks.

Hide the body.

Edit sketch, window select the word, usually double click would do it, then select move,

in the Move Dialogue Make sure it says Sketch articles.

Check that the text is not constrained to the sketch boundary.

Fusion is likely selecting just one face of the word.

Might help.....

I still can't figure it out so can someone please check my file? I have it here just like the video.

Thank you.  If it's because the text sketch is "constrained" to geometry, why can't I see any constraint symbols showing constraint?  Or do I have another problem?

thanks,

Rick

I could not find what you select as the path for your text but wherever it is, you have some Reference Geometry that is preventing you from moving or rotating your text.  The Screencast will explain.

Oh wow, sorry about that but I though I had saved the text sketch before export.

I'll try again tonight. Thanks for checking and I will be sure to save it twice before exporting the file next time.

it's because the curve you chose for the text is just a small segment, and is a projected curve.  Instead, create a new circle, edit the text to use that as a path, then you can rotate it.

Okay I will try that.

So far, I noticed that I don't have the "break link" option in the move/copy commands like the previous video.  But I'll try what you are saying, thanks.
