can't move a 2 D sketch imported as a dxf

The sketch looks clean and when created on a 2 axis CAD the X0 and Y0 was located at the lower right corner. But then I had to scale the part larger by 2.54000508 after transfering to Fusion so I would have the proper size in inches. This moves the orginal  X0 and Y0 so it is no longer in that corner. I can measure the corners position, but cannot find out how to move the sketch to reposition that corner back to X0Y0.

There has got to be a simple way of doing this, I just can't find it.

Edit the sketch and try using the Move command. The move command is in the Modify menu or in the right click menu. Note that there is a sketch object filter to enable in the Move command. There is also a point to point move method in the move dialog that may be useful.

If you are still struggling, could you record an Autodesk Screencast video and post it back here? You can download the recording utility from the below website.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

Can you File>Export the *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here?

Have this problem too.
After importing DXF, all closed paths can be selected, but when I try to use Move/Copy tool, selection is resets.
And Fusion suggests to select faces one more time, but I can't select all path, only points...
P.S.: same troubles with trying to scaling imported dxf plans, and other operations...

P.S.S.: See video, which attached to this post.

while the profile created by a closed path is select-able, it doesn't work with the move command, only sketch objects will work with move(for the sketch move command).

so the trick is to select all the lines instead.  try double clicking on one of the lines in the profile.

I just tried importing one of my own DXFs and I was able to move it around just fine. Perhaps the specifics of the DXF that you formatted could make an impact.

As for a possible solution, you could project your current sketch plane onto another sketch plane. Then, break the link between the entities in both planes. The entities in the new plane should now be free of any restraints that may have existed in the previous plane.

It's a little roundabout but I hope this helps,

Shihao
