I try to import this Rhino 3dm file https://www.dropbox.com/s/8832bdyesv6jh6x/AR15%20Trust%20Text.3dm?dl=0 which came from the latest version of Rhino 3d (several months old version) into the latest version of Fusion 360. Here is the ttf font file I'm using to create those single line fonts: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vtq56ss5mz9x0cv/1Stick2_SanSerif_small.ttf?dl=0 I wish Fusion 360 could handle this type of single line font file properly without losing curves.
When I upload and try to open the imported Rhino file in Fusion, it's empty / blank.
I have spent all afternoon and all night on a task that should have just "worked" the first time. I've tried so many variations and ways to import those curves into Fusion, it's ridiculous.
I'm trying to center that text at the top of a 2.1" wide and 1.37" tall box in Fusion. I pushed the box a -0.1" down (from the top view) to make a body that I'm going to simulate engraving into. The body is the same size as the stock as I'm just trying to render / simulate a simple engraving of that text.
I can create the box / body, but getting these curves onto it so I can run it through CAM has been a nightmare. If I'm doing something wrong, I'd love the help. If there is something wrong in Fusion, I'd really like to be able to import something as simple as curves into Fusion from Rhino.
The forums won't let me attach a 3dm OR a ttf file. That's kind of annoying. I hope it let me use the links I pasted above.

Fusion will only import curves in DXF & DWG files, I've found DWG works quite well.

Edit DWG & DXF will import curves and surfaces. I've set my export options like this.

Thank you for sharing the specific export settings because I tried several versions of that format already and it was still failing. (If I remember correctly, the problem with that format was that it was importing the curves as the wrong size. Then, when I went to scale the curves up to the right size manually, there would be pieces of curves all over the place. (It wouldn't scale properly, if at al.)
I'll give that specific export (with those settings) a try!

I hadn't noticed that your 3dm file is in inches, I think Fusion will import assuming the file is mm so you'll have to scale up by 25.4.

It worked, in inches. My Fusion file was in inches, also.
Fusion does *not* want to scale any of the curves that I've been able to import. Until now, there was always something wrong (either a complete failure to import, import at the wrong size and either won't scale or when I can finally get it to scale, little pieces of the curves go "wacky" for lack of a better term. It was always something.)
The specific export settings you shared helped me tremendously. Thank you! If Fusion 360 requires specific export settings, it would sure be nice if it gave you a hint on the upload window after you selected the file you want to import. This would save a ton of time.
