Can't Export as .F3D (local archive) file,

I followed this link:

I tried to export my design exactly as how it says by clicking on Export. However, there is no .F3D file extension.

Has it been removed?

Does the design contain linked parts and are you getting the warning.

If your design does not contain any linked parts you should have f3d as an option.

So, in the same theme as this topic (and I have not researched this yet) can you take a linked model and convert all the links to "internal"? I should like the ability to save backups locally especially when experiementing with different ideas as that leaves me free to alter linked components as well.

You can break the links but then modifications to the external designs will no longer update, just right click a component and there should be an option break link. If you want to keep the links you can export from the dashboard in your internet browser and you'll get an fz3 files that contains all the files. The files in the fz3 file have no version history so when you upload all files will be at v1.

Hey, thanks Mark.
That is exactly the way I want it to work. These wil be archive files for working off line and experiementing with without any effect on my current version. Same goes for the linked parts I used, can alter them, see the effect etc.

Yes, it gives me that error message.

I guess I'll just wait till Autodesk fixes this.
