Can't create a drawing of a specific design

Hello,

 

I'm having trouble with a design, from which I can't create a drawing : when I place the first view of the model, I get a red square rather than the view. Other designs don't seem to have the same problem. I've tried to 'compute all', save, close and reopen the design, same trouble.

Hi Laurent,

 

Thanks for your details provided for drawing issue.

 

I have downloaded your part and try to create the drawing for same.

but same issue I have also faced while drawing creation.

 

So I have reported this to our development team to look at this issue.

Hello,

 

Thank you for your reply. I've just tried drawing from the same design, same issue.

 

I've had trouble with automatic updates of Fusion 360, so I'm not sure that I'm running the latest version : current version for me as of today is 2.0.3257. Is that OK ?

If not, what is the latest version number issued ?

That is the current version.

What @patilsm did not tell you is that often these fixes will fix things for A new design, but the old design still exhibits the problem.

What you could try is to run a "Modify->Compute all" and see if that helps.

I downloaded and your design and created a drawing from it. I don't see this issue. 

 

Edit: Sorry, I do see this issue. The preview is OK but when you click OK it's  still replaced with the same red square.

 

@patilsm please provide the FUS number for this bug.

Yes, exactly same thing here, so it does not seem to be specific to my set-up. I also tried to run "compute all" as you suggested, and still no luck...

 

Other designs don't have the same issue, so I guess there is something specifically wrong with this one. Could be some sort of corruption in the file, as I don't think that I'm doing very fancy things there. Could re-create it from scratch, and try drawing from it at several points in the design process to try and identify what breaks it, but frankly I'd rather spend time on completing this work...

 

Ideas ?

This issue gets fixed, Refer Ticket ID FUS-34635 just for your reference.

I have tested this issue internally where it working fine for drawing creation.

 

This Fix will available you on 26-Sep release.sorry for it not mentioned in my last post.
