I'm working on a design for a standing desk. Think of it as a "base" component and a "top" component.
The top is supposed to move relative to the base. I designed and imported some draw-slide type elements and jointed them appropriately between the two major components mentioned above.
I've included all of the pieces of the base into a "rigid group", and all of the pieces of the top into a second rigid group. The base is grounded.
There are two things I expected to be able to do based on the above. Seems I don't understand something yet.
1) if I select the sliding joint in one of my four draw-slide elements and do a "drive joints" on it, I can make the slide do its thing, and the single body that I attached it to on the top (the actual central top panel) goes up and own as expected. I expected all of the associated bodies in that rigid group to move along with that panel...but they don't. They just sit there.
2) I expected to be able to click-drag anywhere on that top rigid group and pull up on it to see it move relative to the base. Nothing happens at all. No motion of anything. This is demonstrated in some of the "build assemblies" videos, but I can't get it to happen.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? (design file attached)
