A question re. views

I have a part I'm wanting to view directly while making a sketch, to enable precise alignment with other features. It's oriented 3.5° off the world space plane.

When I select the Look At tool, it rotates the drawing 90°. This makes the view on my screen less than ideal, as the part that I want to be horizontal is now vertical. I can't seem to control this behavior, or rotate the view after the fact. I recall that there was a way to store and save particular views, but I don't seem to be able to find it in the interface.  I seem to recall in earlier versions I was able to incrementally rotate the view by clicking on the view cube. Has something changed?

Once you have the view the way you want it, you can right-click on the "Named Views" thing at the very top of the browser and choose "New Named View" and voila...new view which you can name so you can remember it later.

Thanks, that had fallen out of the place I was keeping it in my brain.
