I assume that you are talking about the "fx 13.2" dimension.  That means that this angle dimension is controlled by an equation, which currently evaluates to 13.2 degrees.  If you double-click on the dimension, it will show the equation:

Look at the parameters:

Its a parameter that has been created. Either you created it or if you downloaded this model somewhere, then the creator of this model created this parameter. The parameter is angle_between_rings, which is the f(x) 3.3 degrees, * num_of_rings_for_gap, I couldn't find this listed anywhere in the model but it is listed in the parameter as 8 which is correct because I did the math and got 8. 3.3*8/2 = 13.2. If either of those numbers change, the 13.2 will change.

I tried to answer that in your other post.   That particular equation is setting the distance between where the first link in the pattern will start, and where the last link in the pattern will end up.  angle between links is determined by the total number of links.  the gap between the first and last (the equation you rasking about) is expressed as the number of links it would take to fill that gap.

This is a continuation of this post- https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/someone-can-help-me-constraint-everything-...

Your explanation in the other post seemed like a pretty sound explanation to me. I know parameters can be hard to understand if you aren't used to using them though.

hi thank you so much for answering
i changed some of the parameters so they'll fit into the size that i want
what do i need to do now in order to make it work, like the same way you did?

well, for some reason you changed one of the equations in the sketch-

laughingcreek_0-1675093628592.png

that's going to throw the spacing for everything off.   change it back to 2 (as in one half of the total angle between the first and last rings in the pattern)

make adjustments to the parameters in the parameter table.

"number_of_rings_for_gap" controls the angle between the first and last rings in the pattern.

again, this was just a fast example that was demonstrating using a joint to position one of the rings, the other stuff wasn't really thought out.  I'm sure there is a better way to do this if one sat down and took the time to work it out.

I have now finished adding all the measurements, can you please help me with the pattern?

i removed the equations because for some reason it didn't work with size so i just gave up on it

I ended up having to delete the first 4 coincident constraints and it worked fine after that. Just click on the coincident and it will highlight which one to delete. After deleting those, I was able to change the overall diameter to 675 mm.

Here is the .f3d of what I did so you don't have to go through and redo all of my steps. If you dimension the ring that is now blue, and you change the overall dimension of the outside ring, the links will not dimension proportionally. The links that are sideways will, but the links that are turned right-side up will not. Those can be re-constrained once you have the overall dimension set to your desired dimension but until then, it can't be constrained or it won't allow you to change the dimension of the overall size.

thanks!
can you help me with the pattern?
I've managed to make it work last time but for some reason it doesn't work this time

The attached file in my last post has the coincident constraints deleted. Aside from that, what other issues are you having?
