I am having an issue SELECTING a body to shell. The body was created using SURFACE LOFTing and MIRRORing that shape. I don't know if the surface lofting is the problem.
I could not get the loft to work using the "SOLID LOFT"

I can not add the file (work related) but have attached a screen shot of said model.
I want to thicken the hull to .5in...
Sorry, forgot to include the error,
"The operation could not create a valid result. Try adjusting the values or changing the inputs."
Hi,
The picture does not allow any conclusions about the development of the object and therefore only the crystal ball helps here.

you most likely surface quality issues. happens a lot when lofting to a singularity.
You would probably get better results "overbuilding" surfaces and then trimming back.

However, for a last ditch effort on what you already have - I would Patch the top. Stitch to a Solid and see if would Shell removing the top.

Can you explain on this? Singularity?
I just mean lofting to a point. fusion allows it, but it will frequently cause the surface to be wonky, which can cause subsequent actions on the surface fail. lofts perform best when they are 4 sided. when 1 side is a point, it bunches up into the point.
