Can I project an image onto a surface

Is it possible to create a surface (box with 4 sides or anything) and then take an imported picture and project that picture onto the surface?

Or take a picture and make an object.  If I have a picture of anything (say a bird or car) can I import that picture and create a model?

1. Have you gone through the Tutorials?  (File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here.)

3. Yes, I do this all the time, but if you are looking for an auto-magical tool to do this, then no.
