A right-click command that said "hide others" would be great, and it should assume that I mean the other bodies within the parent body. Another command at the parent level that said "show all" or "show all children" would be a good complement.
How can I hide all bodies except the one I have selected?

In the selection filters select "all" and then re-select "Bodies"
Then select the one body you do not want selected. Yeah, I know, but bear with me 😉
Then select "Invert Selection"
Now everything but hat one body is selected
