Calling all Fusion 360 Simulation users for AU 2018

Hi Fusion Simulation users,

As you know, AU 2018 is just around the corner and call for proposals is closing next week on June 11th. We are actively looking for our users to participate with us and present classes about their experiences and usage of Fusion Simulation. I would welcome you all to consider submitting a proposal on Fusion Simulation for AU 2018.

Submit a proposal here

I look forward to seeing all of the awesome ideas this community can come up with.

Best regards,

Mike Smell

Hi @I_Forge_KC -

I did not want to be too prescriptive in the post, but generally I am looking for the following themes.

1. Helping folks understand the benefits of Simulation, doing that with Fusion, value of the cloud, etc.

2. Helping folks understand how to use the product in more detail, i.e. nonlinear, value and techniques for simplification, understanding results, etc.

3. A hands on lab - last year this was really well attended and I think we will want to do something like this again.

I hope this helps.

Mike

I have quite a few good examples in this realm as well as laboratory course ideas...especially when you are talking non linear simulations. I'll definitely share some ideas but dont know if I can make it because of the expense involved (at least I believe it's an unpaid event). I've had more travel than expected this year.

Some of the videos I have regarding non linear simulations have been shared in the past...but here they are again:

Non-linear simulation for catastrophic failure (this could be a great lab course)

Non-linear event simulation to predict impact damage:

Non linear simulation to see if a vacuum will suck panic Pete's eyes out (another possible lab):

Hi @Anonymous -

This is very cool stuff. AU is not a paid event, but presenters do get their registration covered, but that does not take care of travel costs. That said, I would still encourage you to submit proposals on these topics. This is some great work, keep it up!

Thanks,

Mike
