I like the arc slot feature but picking the endpoints of the arc isn't the most useful way of drawing an arc slot, centre point of the arc then endpoints would be more useful.

I see it used for parts like below where you'd pick the centre of the arcs first, using the tool how it works now just isn't that easy to use.

Found a problem drawing the centre point rectangle. If you enter sizes they are positioned inside the rectangle and there doesn't seem to be anyway to pick them and edit. Seems to be a problem with any linear dimension inside a shaded profile, you can grab and edit arc dimensions.

The equal constraint icon is just a single line not an equal sign. Also don't think it's description should be equal length as it doesn't give an equal length with arcs. description should be just Equal.

Noticed collinear and symmetry constraints are missing, guess these are to come.

One last question. I noticed some constraints have numbers next to them, is this just for constraints where where 2 sketch elements are picked? Personally I think they add too much clutter, will there be an option to hide them?

Thanks Mark

Hi Mark

I have added an issue to support center point arc slots. No.2544

>>>this should be fixed. Also sometimes grabbing the dimension can be a bit fiddly (this is logged) but should always be moveable in the end.

...

The equal constraint icon is just a single line not an equal sign. Also don't think it's description should be equal length as it doesn't give an equal length with arcs. description should be just Equal.

>>> I have logged an issue for these as well  No. 2542, and 2543

...

Noticed collinear and symmetry constraints are missing, guess these are to come.

>>>Correct - they are on our roadmap however.

...

One last question. I noticed some constraints have numbers next to them, is this just for constraints where where 2 sketch elements are picked? Personally I think they add too much clutter, will there be an option to hide them?

>>>For constraints which require two icons, each should show the same number to indicate the pairing. In your example, I can see it would be easy to lose track of the parings without these.

Cheers

Hi Jason

I would still like the option to hide the numbers, mousing over the constrain highlights it pair so it not hard to find. This is the way the desktop version works, no numbers.

Something else I noticed is the browser version is Y up. Don't know where this standard\convention came from but Z up seems to be used a lot more in manufacturing.

Thanks Mark

Okee dokee - I have opened an issue to hide the numbers No.2545

For the Y vs Z up.  Fusion is currently defaulting to Y up so we match that.  However we do not presently have preferences, so can't match any pref change made in Fusion (we are working on this though) But we do match any design which is saved with Z up and load accordingly.
