Board layout for woodcutting

Hello guys,

I just recently started to use Fusion, so in advance plase excuse if this question is kinda noob or been answered already (for the love of... can't find a suitable topic...). Let me say first, i enjoy the workflow of Fusion and would do all my stuff in it if i could just learn all the quirks xD.

To make it short.. I have a small question (problem). Currently as a small side project i'm designing a small cabinet, few rows, for paints of different brands, etc. I got a fairly simple design I'm quite satisfied with but now comes the (maybe not) problem. I pretty much designated every board (all rectangular) as a separate part. Made a assembly out of it (works great together ^^). Now i want to hand it to a external company for inquiry purposes, if they charge too much i'm considering cutting it myself. But to spare me any mistakes in quantity needs, i would like to layout all parts with the neccesery quantities on one sheet including the with of the cutting disk. Problem is, i can't get to set the correct clearance dimmensions on the drawing module.. Let's say the disk width is 3.8mm (diff manufacturers, etc.).

Point is to save up as much on manufacturing cost as possible. at this moment without actual manual counting dimmensions i have no idea how much of board i need. Also, the design may change a couple of times, it would be a pain to recalculate it every time 🙂

I hope my description of the problem is clear, but in any case just write here for any additional data.

I thank you in advance for a informative reply 🙂

Cheers!

Fusion 360 doesn't have an automatic process for this. Blade simulation is not available. What you can use is the Fusion 360 Nester add-inn

or you can use the derived function from Fusion 360:

Both methods do not provide a 100% solution but might push you into the right direction.
