Better support for trackpad (OSX)

Just started with 360, coming form Frecad... Everything seams ok, pretty easy to learn. One major problem for me which slows down work is the trackpad rotation and lack of customisable shotcuts for frequent operations...

With SHIFT - 2 fingers you can only get 2 axis rotation. Unless I am missing something...

If Freecad - build by "normal" people - can get it right, I hope Autodesk can as well....

Welcome aboard!

I assure you, we are "normal" people. Glad to hear your feedback and as always willing to respond. Feel free to post here often, you'll get an answer.

We've heard a lot from users such as yourself about customizable shortcuts. You will find as you look around, that we take a lot of user ideas and implement them. We have the Idea Station to help collect ideas and users can vote on the ones they like.

So we hear you. We should have something by the end of the year to address the customizable shortcuts, but not necessarily a table based key alias assignment tool.

For the orbit behavior, have you tried the different settings on the Preferences > General page? Look on the dropdown menu under your name in the top left corner.

Thanks!

I tried all the combinations and I honestly can't tell the difference. Even between free and constrained orbit. Is there a place where the different behaviours are described ?

Happy to hear our voices are heard.  Great product (just in case I havent said it before :D)!
