Anyone have some insight on why the slider I have in the attached file would not work? It has no travel limits on the radial movement and this needs multiple joints to function. Edit: Quick note when creating the joints and animating it, the motion is correct, it's only in tandem they don't work.

Also side question, how does one align a bolt hole in a radial part to the centre of a slot, or another bolt hole around a part without conflicting joints or using as-builts? In Inventor you can just use constraints to do it and it works great.

Are the sliding tabs, with the T-shaped end suppose to engage and move with the collar containing the matching T-notch?

If that is the case, the problem joint is not needed but some Motion Links are needed.  I hope I am understanding what you are trying for.  Model attached.

Edit: Thinking on your second question.

Aha, yes that is exactly what I'm trying to achieve.

Can you educate me, and/or even just show me what you did to achieve that?

EDIT: Never mind - found the attachment I missed the part where you said it was attached ha.

I only did one Tab, you can repeat for the rest.  If this solves your question, please remember to "Accept Solution" or ask further questions.

Can you create a quick model to demonstrate what exactly you are looking for here?

In that same part these two highlighted areas.

If I create a cylindrical joint then want to align the set screw to the holes on the right I get a conflicting joint.

Or the one in the slot I don't even have a good way to do it.

I had to guess at the set screw size since the component is not detailed in this model.  I hope I am understanding your question.  Model is attached and a couple of Screen Captures.
