Assembly design updating linked models

Hi,

New to Fusion360 coming from Solidworks and Onshape. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to have the software automatically keep "linked' assembly models update. I am trying to work on a multi-level assembly (still pretty small compared what I'm used to) and I'm finding it extremely difficult to deal with the silly manual updating of linked models. If I modify a part three assembly levels down I have to open and update/save the model and all sub-assemblies all the way up the tree before I can see the results of the change. This seems nuts to me.

May be using it wrong so maybe that is the problem. What do others do? Or is this tool just not up to complex assemblies?

Thanks

@Anonymous - you should be able to update just from the top level, and it will propagate the changes all the way up to that top level.  Save will save all the intermediate levels.  It used to be the case that you had to go bottom-up as you described, but that was addressed quite a while ago.
