@promm This is more for other people.
Any .dxf file imported or inserted from gearotic has to many points for fusion to handle in the arc's, it's made up from lot's of straight lines, file is posted above. the developer of gearotic is look into if he can do changes to get the .dxf working better in fusion. this is one example.
.dxf have been around for years everyone still has them and use them so importing .dxf into fusion is important some of the ADSK products use .dxf's but fusion blows with some types of .dxf's
I have 1000 of dxf files I would like to use but I can not just import them and use them to make stuff in fusion I have to rebuild them all.
I could just pull other user into this and get them to have their say but they all have said this stuff somewhere this .dxf thing has gone on to long if just importing of .dxf was fixed that's 1/2 of the people who use fusion happy.
if the exporting of dxf was fixed that's a lot of user's happy.
if you need a .dxf file from fusion you can only get the .dxf from one sketch, if there is 100 imported parts layed out on one plane with the body hidden and only the sketch showing you can not extract 100 .dxf files from the 100 sketches.
the downstream is .dxf from fusion, is cnc machines that use .dxf to control where the cutting is done importing 1 .dxf at a time is a no go so you have to import the .dxf one at a time into another program to get the .dxf laid out then sent to the machine.
If there is planes to have a post that send the need info out for the cnc machines that need .dxf and there is going to be lots of versions of it every machine is a little bit different or someone on hand to help user get this working on single layer .dxf posted for cnc machines that need it, then push it and advertise it so the user know that it is coming.
yes I know there is one that can do it but you have to clean it first in another program fusion can not handle it. I tested it the other day ask al about it.
as of now I use gearotic.dxf and vectric.dxf files in fusion the gearotic ones is me fixing them for other fusion user's, the vectric files I used Vcarve pro for 7 years so I have 1000 of files done in Vcarve pro that I wont to bring into fusion, making the parts in fusion is a no brainer the cam is faster, parametrics all the good stuff with fusion.
