I have been running into this lately. I sent someone a fusion file, they added a few parts. When I got the file back some of their parts are very dark. I've been reading that others have this issue but I don't see the solution. Display Detail control options don't do anything.

In the menu bar at the bottom of the screen, click the monitor icon/symbol and select effects.
Turn off Ambient Occlusion.
