animate 3 part drawer slides possible?

Hi all,

reason why I am asking this and not looking into it myself is because I have a new born and thus am very tight on time and energy.

A student asked me if for furniture design we could import a 3 part drawer slides saparte the bodies into components and then add motion restrictions so when in Fusion the drawer is being pulled the center slides will adjust accordingly.

a two part slide is easy because you can add a motion restriction but with 3 parts you have the center part that moves on its own too.

Yes, you should definitely be able to do this, using joint limits.  Give me a few minutes, and I'll put together a quick example

Thank's Jeff - I will look at it when Lu sleeps again - just woke up.

BTW the furniture design class has an amazing blast with Fusion using the timeline for parametric furniture design and then using

DM mode for the architecture modeling and inserting all the objects.

I know Fusion is intended to be for mechanical design / engineering but it is also like how SketchUp should have been in the first place hahaha.

The ability to work parametric or direct model and link in files and components is a very very strong selling point to them to use Fusion.
