Ambiguous Error Message When Previewing Generative Design

I'm getting an odd error when I try to run a generative design. It says "Something went wrong while generating the outcome preview. Consider modifying your study setup." Without more detail on what's happening, I can't even start to try to troubleshoot our setup. Any idea on where I can find more detail on what's happening?

Running Windows 10 Pro, Fusion 360 version 2.0.6516, Student Edition.

So it turns out that if I remove my obstacle geometry, the error no longer occurs. The obstacle geometry was created by extruding a cylinder over the solid body domain used for our original ANSYS topology optimization, and then subtracting the body out. I'm wondering if there is a floating-point precision error somewhere or something like that that is causing Fusion to think that the preserve is intersecting with the obstacle geometry. Is this an expected error in that case?

[not sure if this is relevant -- I'd appreciate any input]
