All files disappeared after the new update.

I apologize if I'm missing something obvious, I am very new to this program and 3D modeling in general.

About an hour ago, I was building a mouse. I saved the file to "my first project" as usual, and put laptop to sleep. An hour later, I open my laptop again and reopen Fusion 360 to find I need to login for some reason. I log into my account, notice a message informing me that Fusion has been updated, and go to my recent project tab. Nothing. Not a single project of the 20 or so that I've worked on in the past month since getting the software. All that's left are the tutorial lamp project I made when I first booted up the software and my first solo project. Nothing else.

I have tried restarting, logging out, going to offline mode, scouring my computer for the file names, everything I could think of. The files are resolutely nowhere to be found.

I know that there is a 30 day limit on saving files to your computer, but I was using one of my files the day it disappeared.

Did I do something wrong?

Have you tried logging in using Dashboard in your internet browser. Also I don't suppose you have 2 accounts and you've logged into the wrong one?

Well this is embarassing. Somehow I created two accounts tied to my one student account. Thank you, I found all my files!

Sorry to waste your time with something so simple!

Generated several files and saved them. This morning opened the program, there appeared a message which was so fast that I couldn't read it, the screen was empty and I couldn't bring up my files. They were all generated this month, the last one yesterday. How can I get them back? Only have one accounts far as I know.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting! I am sorry that you are seeing this issue!

Could you send me your application log files? These will allow me to see what Fusion 360 is doing on your computer and will allow me to better troubleshoot the issue. We have created a great article, linked here, that details how to collect the application log files for your given operating system! If you could attach them to your reply it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for the log files! I look forward to hearing back from you!

Cheers,

Mike Tessier

Hello, I am having the same problem -- after an uninstall to take care of the 'gray screen issue', then reinstalling, almost all of my data files have disappeared?  I've rebooted, signed in/out several times to no avail.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Have you tried using the Dashboard in your browser to check your project are on the cloud? What happens if you switch between online and offline.

Yes, it only shows a handful of probably over 100 part and assembly files

For something like this you should start a new thread on the support forum as it might not be seen in this old thread.
