All file dates are NaN/NaN/NaN?

Hello all,

For a few days now, perhaps longer, all file dates in my data panel show NaN/NaN/NaN. Smiley Surprised It is like this for all my files, even files in other projects.

I have attached a screencast showing it and here is a picture:

Screen Shot 2016-05-19 at 4.00.50 PM.png

Clicking the "info" expander fixes the date, but only until I leave the folder or close the data panel. Then the date goes back to NaN/NaN/NaN.

Opeing the file in A360 shows the correct date (in A360) but it still says as NaN in the Data Panel of Fusion.

Should I be worried? Is this a known error?

Thanks! Smiley Very Happy

Hi Autumn,

Can you email the following file to sanjay.jayabal@autodesk.com?

1. Browse to %localappdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360.

2. Open the folder that has an alphanumeric name.  such as 7FGVLEAL2QDJ

3. Email the file called NsCloudBrowserCache_myhub.dat to me.

best regards,

Sanjay Jayabal.

Hello @sanjay_jayabal

Is this file location the one for Mac? That is the system I'm on. It looks like a Windows path, and I can't find it on my machine. Thanks!

HI @sanjay_jayabal

I think you may have missed my earlier reply? Smiley Happy

My file dates are still stuck on NaN/NaN/NaN and I can't find the file you specified...the path you listed seems to be a Windows path and I am on a Mac machine. What's my next step?

Thanks!

i'm getting the same occurance.  I have seen this before - it appeared to happen when a file was uploading ot the cloud server, and usually went away after an hour or so.  right now all my fusion files are showing this incidence.

Everyting else seems to be working OK.

Cheers

Mike

Hi @michael.k.jansen

It's been going on for days for me Smiley LOL Whether something is uploading or not. I haven't seen a date on my files since Friday (May 20th) I think.

Nothing else is going wrong for me either - the files still seem to be updating properly, it's just odd not being able to read the dates to see when it was last updated.

hey @Anonymous, Sanjay is out of the office this week, but I've reached out to a few others who can help with this issue.  Thanks for the patience.

Hi Autumn S.,

Here's an update for the OSX path. Please send us that file before trying any of the steps below.

1. Browse to /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360.

2. Open the folder that has an alphanumeric name.  such as 7FGVLEAL2QDJ

3. Email the file called NsCloudBrowserCache_myhub.dat to me.

Additionally, can you see if clearing your data cache helps? To do this:

  1. Launch Fusion. If already open, close any open files.
  2. Click on the Help Menu (?) then Clear user cache data.
  3. This will prompt for a relaunch of Fusion.
  4. Check the sidepanel.

Finally, one other thing to try is exit Fusion, use Finder to rename these files, then relaunch:

  • /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Neutron Platform/Options/NMachineSpecificOptions.xml
  • /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Neutron Platform/Options/{alphanumericfoldername}/NGlobalOptions.xml

Thanks for using Fusion 360!

Clearing the cache seemed to do it for me.  I do not appear to have any more NaN/NaN/NaN dates.

Hello @baribak

I attached the file here.

Clearing my cache or changing those files - will that reset my preferences (like for toolpaths etc) in any way? I can't really play around with those this week - a bit too busy. If it does, is there a way to save my preferences?

Thanks!

Hi Autumn,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  Can you delete the NsCloudBrowserCache_myhub.dat file and restart Fusion 360?  This should not impact your preferences.

best regards,

Sanjay Jayabal.

Thanks Autumn.

As Sanjay mentions, try deleting the browserCache file and see if that helps.

Or, as I outlined earlier, try clearing the data cache. This won't affect your settings.

For the settings, yes DO NOT delete the NMachineSpecificOptions.xml and NGlobalOptions.xml files.

Hi Michael,

Is this with all projects/folders or with only specific ones?

Additionally, you mentioned it's back which implies that you've corrected it before? If so, is it the same files or different ones?
