Aligning Text to center

Hi All,

I might be going mad but I'm trying to align a bit of text to the center of the rectangle. This text will need to be changed a lot so I want the text to remain centered. At the moment it seems you can only align text using the bottom left hand point in Fusion 360. The text has a rectangle around it but when the text is changed its recreated losing any coincident's you manage to set on it.

Any ideas? I'd rather not have to align my text by eye every time.

Thank You

Rob

That's a lot of work.  I'd recommend you watch the screencast I posted earlier 😀

It's insanely frustrating that something so basic eludes such an in-depth program. These workarounds are utterly ridiculous........ brilliantly planned and well thought out, but, ridiculous that it has to be done!  i just scrapped my whole project and did the same project in SW, less than 5 minutes... now i have to import it into fusion to do the stupid G-code.....  really wanted to avoid that and just do it all in F360.   -_-    oh well....

So is an actual fix being worked on at all? Or do we just have to keep this thread alive forever?  At first I thought that I was just too dumb to figure out how to do something as seemingly simple as centering text.  Thankfully it's actually Autodesk...

Why the workaround Autodesk?  You had all the text alignment features we all needed right there in AutoCAD for 35+ years.  Remember these, [Align/Fit/Center/Middle/Right/TL/TC/TR/ML/MC/MR/BL/BC/BR]??  We certainly do.  Please port these over so that proper alignment with test can be achieved without all the extra work.  I'm not looking for the greatest CAD "experience" but rather the expected and necessary tools like you've provided in the past.

This is painful.... Has this been fixed, after 6 years?

Hi,

Show your use case in a screenshot or screencast and upload the file. Then we can better evaluate the situation.

Simpler than any specific case, just please add a center grip/point to text boxes and imported .SVG.

Thanks
