align sketch dimensions with the line segment

In sketch mode,   it appears that dimentions will align either horizontally or vertically, but not with the actual line segment itself.  

It would be usefull if when you drag the dimention off to the side of a selected line, you could drag it to either a vertical, horizontal,  or by dragging perpendicular to the line segment,   a demention that is placed paralel to the dimention.

When creating a dimension that is not horizontal or vertical you can right click and select align.  Is this what you are looking for?

Yes,  I didn't realize that feature was an option.  Im still pretty new to Fusion 360.  That certainly does what I need.  

I still think it would be faster if it would snap to either horizontal, vertical, or aligned automatically.

yes, exactly what I was looking for.

with horizontal, vertical, or aligned depending on where you placed the
dimension. maybe an idea for a future product update 🙂

I really like fusion 360 by the way. Keep up the good work.
