Adding forces on multiple faces

In generative design and simulation workspace, when I applied 1000 N to 2 faces, would the force be distributed to the 2 faces or the two faces will be given 1000 N each?

In the simulation workspace force dialog box there is an option that sets it to per entity or not.

In the gen design workspace the forces are set to per entity by default and cannot be changed (the option is visible but grayed out).
