Adding flat panels to form body

I am creating a plane in the form workspace, and need to create flat windows for the nose. How would I do that?

Nose is curved without flat panels

  1. Start with a sketch on a plane parallel to the XY plane.
  2. Draw a line matching the angle of a window.
  3. Create a sketch on a plane parallel to the XZ plane.
  4. Draw a line matching the angle of the window.
  5. Create a Plane at Angle using the line in step 2.  The angle should match the angle in step 4.
  6. You may need to move the planes in order to precisely position the window.
  7. Split Body the fuselage using the plane.  If the fuselage model is correct the split body outline will match the window.
  8. Project the outline to a sketch on the plane. (Or just use Patch command)
  9. Extrude the window.

Unfortunately that method didn't work out for me, splitting the body this way doesn't leave a rectangle cut. Are you able to guide me through this further?

Start with the windows or frame (trace the 3 canvases to show how inaccurate they are) and match the body to them.

However, you will soon see that the fuse is not curved at the window panel locations.  These will need the Split Body treatment with Construction planes as Ed said.

Might help....

As @davebYYPCU says, you need to modify the shape of the body to conform to the drawings.
