Accurately Rotating a Component

Hi all.

I'm having trouble accurately rotating a pinion gear that I've imported. I'm trying to line it up exactly with the Y axis so that I can then use it with a rack gear. You can see in the screen recording that I've tried to rotate it by "measuring" from a sketch, referencing points on the teeth.

Would really appreciate some help on this.

Thanks

Use the Measure tool to get the angle between the two lines.  Use the angle in the Move tool.

I tried this also. But as you can see in the recording, when I go to check if the component is lined up after rotating, it is slightly off. It' like the angle is being rounded.

After doing this, when I go to check its aligned, you can see that it's slightly out. But when I measure the angle between the two lines it says 0.0deg - even with "all decimals" selected.

In Preferences change the Angular Precision to the maximum.  The gear is currently -.024995615 degrees off.

Ah didn't realise there was a separate setting there. Thanks!
