3d sketching observations

@helfenj

Here's a screen cast of some observations related to 3d sketching.

-why does the first circle, which is full defined, become NOT fully defined as 3d sketch elements are added?

-why does the profile work for a revolve before the circle is added in 3d space (and continue to work for the already created revolve feature), but not work for a new revolve feature? (guessing it has something to do with profile tracking?)

There's more, but I haven't stopped to distill them down.  Maybe others have observations also?

I believe the first observation is simply a bug. I've reported something similar before where something that was shown as fully defined showed as not fully defined as soon as a 3D sketch element was added became not fully defined.

I dunno. But why would you want a 3D sketch for that?

I'm sticking to 2D sketches and (projected intersections where necessary) only, until such time everyone says, "Oh my goodness, 3D sketches are all working perfectly!"

to demonstrate a sketching behavior?

@laughingcreek,

Thanks for sharing. I am unable to reproduce the exact results with the cover constrained notification, but know we will continue to evaluate the fully constrained analysis.

I was able to reproduce the revolve failure and will get that logged and looked that.

Thanks,

John
