2D PDF Drawing Readable Quality Please?

Hi, I have put alot of decals/labels into a control system cabinet with many internal hardware. My problem is that I want to save it in 2D drawing where all labels are readableThe quality of the decals are so bad I can't even read them. Thank you. ... Is there any other way to do this? I have tried using the Fusion Viewer but even those don't register the labels/decals 😕 The only way I can really see the labels is if I open the program in Fusion360 itself... which other people don't have. My ideal would be clear precise readable pdfs.  Thank you so much.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting 🙂

If you use "Shaded" option, you are able to see the decals. but if you use the "Visible edges", it doesn't support yet.

However, I found your request in the ideastation and the status is implemented. we would be able to see the function soon. Smiley Happy

Hi, Thank you for the reply. But I'm afraid this is not what I meant. I had used shaded for it. I can see the labels. My problem is Output to PDF ... when I do save it, the quality of PDF is really bad I can't read the labels at all specially when I zoom in. I attached pic of what I meant. This is even biggest I could save with A0, ratio 1:1

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for the reply..

Hum.... could you share your file to me? I'm not sure whether I can found a workaround. but I would like to give it a shot. my email address is ahreum.ryu@autodesk.com

I think if you extrude the shape, you would have better quality when exporting PDF.

here is QUICK TIP: How to emboss letters https://youtu.be/R-JYwL1rrxk

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

Hi, Thanks for the reply again.  I'm not sure I am allowed to share the project, and as for emboss... it is too much time and effort.  I would like to use decals for labeling because there's so many and I can copy and paste premades from picture editor. Thank you.

I don't even think there is a NDA necessary. The quality of the PDF output of the drawing environment in Fusion 360 is is really no other word to describe it.

This is a known issue and has been reported many times.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing your design.

When I put the shaded view in the drawing, the Decal image seems to display with lower resolution. so I reported this issue(FDWG-8265) to development team and if I receive any response, I will get back to you. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Many thanks,

Ahreum.
