2D drawing on mac issue

Hi I am having an issue creating a 2D drawing under OSX.  Every time I create a base view, it disappears and a red box is created in the lower left hand corner of the drawing view.  The base view is a simple assembly comprised of 3 components.

Hi arauchfuss,

Sorry to hear you are having problems with drawings.  From the symptoms you describe it sounds like a known limitation we currently have with drawings installed on a case-sensitive partition, not an issue with design complexity.  If you're not sure if you are on a case-sensitive partition, you can check by doing the following:

  1. Launch Finder and go to the /Applications/Utilities directory
  2. Double-click Disk Utility
  3. Select Macintosh HD (or the partition where you have Fusion installed)

If it’s case sensitive you’ll see it mentioned in the lower left, Format: Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)

If it’s not case sensitive you’ll see something like Format: Logical Partition

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi arauchfuss,

OK, thanks for confirming.  This one is more involved than just a bug fix.  It won't help you now, but we are actively working on this and are targeting the Update scheduled for November.

Thanks,

Chris
