Im trying to set up an assembly with all my bodies into one assembly.   I can save the bodies as components within each own file however once saved there I cannot insert them into a new file.   Attached error message.

Following your tutorials, all i can seem tofind is that you can only build bodies within one file and turn them into components.

Is there a way to insert my components (as separate files) in to one assembly?

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Do you think you could elaborate a little bit more on how you are saving these components. My guess is you have one component created in your main file, then you are saving the component and renaming it each time?

If this is the case you may want to try right clicking your component in the Browser Tree (on the left hand side) and select "Save Copy As". Then, once its saved you should just be able to drag that file into your main Fusion design as a different component.

Let me know if this method worked for you. If not, I'm more than happy to try and help figure this out with you!

Thanks,
