2 Point Align - How

Hi

How do you align two components based on 2 points when you use the Align command instead of using a face and an (approximate) angle?

An example - 2 plates with 2 holes all aligned nicely and constructed in place via Project etc. I now want to replace one of these plates with a third (constructed earlier) having the same 2 holes but sketched in a different orientation.

I'mm guessing the nearest equivalent would be the 3d Align command in Autocad.

Thanks again

Matt

Use joints with components, on the hole centres.

Hi Geunther and Dave,

Many thanks to you both

Yes this procedure was what I was looking for - somewhat counteractive - to me joints are only used in assemblies - learnt something new

Thanks again

Matt
