Render environment global position of the components

Hi.

Sometimes, if i want to render a part with a custom environment, i would like to move it around without dependancy to the design axis. (without it, it just looks odd when theres a horizontal background upside down + tilted, because thats the component pos).

i can do several tricks to make it work, but it just a waste of time.

i think rendering has nothing to do with the actual positions of the design.

pretty sure it'd benefit a lot of engineers to have a "direct edit" in rendering environment, to just quickly move around components without ungrounding and braking some dependencies.

I don't disagree with you, but I don't expect to see that kind of functionality in the Render workspace. However, the Animation workspace provides those capabilities. Unfortunately, the Render and Animation workspaces do not play  together. I think it would make the most sense to do the more advanced rendering in the Animation workspace.

Why not?

i mean, i obviously understand the relationship between the environments which are unnecessary, why would you expect parametric logic in rendering?

i cant come up with one reason.

Hit this exact thing staging renders. Until there's a direct edit, the cleanest
fix without touching your real design is to render from a separate file. New
empty design, insert your saved design as a component, then position or tilt
that occurrence however you like. Your source stays grounded and free of
dependencies, so you get full freedom for the shot. (Animation workspace, as
Brian said, is the other route if you want it in the same file.)

Single part or a full assembly you're staging?
