Something fishy seems to be happening with my palette(s). I get them up and running, send/receive data to them but as soon as I close the (last) document and end up in the Untitled land, I lose access to them.
ui.palettes.itemById returns None, but the reference I keep hold on from palette's creation shows the palette as both native and invalid.
I see some [very] old mentions of this problem on this board (including one pointing to a NULastDisplayedLayout.xml file) yet I not enough info to help me understand what is going on and how to avoid the issue.
Any ideas?
What is supposed to be the lifecycle of a palette? Should it be expected to be terminated and thus should it have to be restarted when that happens (event?) if the intent is to keep it always on?
