Milling Eagle PCB with Fusion CAM module

Milling Eagle PCB with Fusion CAM module

Hi All,

the new Eagle integration is very usefull, I like it!

The last issue to solve is the Fabrication of the PCB, and one of the quickest and cheapest, way to do it, for hobbists, is Milling.

In the actual version, the tracks on the PCB are decals, so no way to use them in the CAM.

One IDEA could be to import also the tracks as solid, or at least as sketches, to give the posibility of creating paths to mill them with the fusion CAM module.

Or save them as SVG and import them into the CAD module to be placed on the PCB and then use the CAM to mill away the open areas and drill the holes.

Hey, no one is interested?

Milling PCB is one of the best options for hobbyists and using a different CAM is a shame having one of the best inside Fusion360...

When I first saw the integration, my first thought was that the milling tracks of the PCBs and drilling holes was the main reason to integrate Eagle & Fusion. Without the possibility to use CAM, the word integration is quite misleading.

I am wery surprised that there is so little interest in this.

I'm still very interested in this.  If fact, I don't use any of the Fusion/Eagle "integration" now because if I can't mill the PCB then I have no interest.  If milling PCB's never happens, I'll eventually just uninstall Eagle and use something else.

Hey,

Eagle people, only 7 persons are interested in milling PBC?

Don't be shy, vote the idea, so the mighty Fusion360 Team will implement it!

well my opinion is also this that it is of no use to simply integrate eagle PCB in Fusion 360 if there is no CAMing facility for PCB etching especially for hobbyists. I would like to go a step further that Fusion 360 only gives GCode file. why does not it gives facility to connect a CNC machine like i had a DIY cnc machine having grbl controller. so that i should not move anywhere else to get my idea finally done under on roof i mean Fusion 360. I like and love Fusion 360 but need above two options as well integrated into it. I once again say two features i need but i think all others also need. 1. PCB milling 2. Connecting facility in Fusion 360 to cnc-machines.

I would love to have selectable traces for CAM.

I mill PCB's quite a lot on a Bantam cnc machine and would love to be able to have more control over the trace milling of my PCBs and vias.   I've been using HSM for about 10 years now and I know it would be worth is to have this functionality.  Right now its not worth my time to convert file types to make this happen.  I need a more seamless integration between fusion 360 and eagle.

you've got my upvote.

Still in need to mill pcb by using the powerfull Eagle and Fusion360 Also upvoting to be able to have a link with the CNC milling machine sounds great

I machine 100s of boards using Roland machines, it would be great if Fusion was able to natively handle Eagle traces so I can use more common machines.

Autodesk has the online solution for PCB design which also generates gerber files. It would be a complete package if also had CAM solution to process it

After 2 weeks of searching for good way to mill pcb i found this place so i am not surprise that is nobody voting. any way eagle 9.2.2 is generating bad gerber files and drill,  so i will go back to version 6 where was much more OK than only cam processor

Hi,

I would be also very interested in a seamless intragration. Fusion people, vote for it!

This is still relevant. This would be a great feature, our company designs PCB for a lot of industries and it would be incredible time save to have a way to utilize our mill to create working prototype PCBs quickly.

Yes! A feature in the CAM section for easy PCB milling would be fantastic and I imagine a fairly easy thing to integrate. Lots of people in the Fab Lab world will appreciate it. 😉

Hey! Autodesk! What about this feature? It's realy very cool. A lot of people are waiting for it very much. Including me 😉

Using Fusion 360 for PCB milling was an absolute solution for electronic PCB lover. I vote for Autodesk to support these features

Hi all,

Fusion improves his functionality but milling PCB is not in the list.

The best solution on the Market is FlatCam that is free but the UI sucks.

Fusion team ,why not acquire the project and integrate the engine inside Fusion360?

This feature would still be neat, especially after the latest Fusion 360 update (22nd January)
