Selection Sets and Named views universal

Make Selection set and Named views universal across all work spaces. Frustrating going thru the effort of setting them up on one space and not having them in others where you have to tediously pick parts one by one or rotate around to find that specific same view. I know parts of this have been mentioned in other ideas, but making it universal may address multiple peoples needs at once.

I'm basically struggling with the same issue all the time and have posted an according question on the main forum recently.

I'm not sure how I would make selection Sets universal, though, considering that different model will have very different entities - so what would be the common thing?

But for the Named Views I totally agree. There needs to be a way to set them up across multiple designs. I can see three things working to that goal:

1. Have the Named Views actually show editable parameters. Currently the "current position" is just stored, but the number behind it (I'd guess 6 parameters are needed) are nowhere shown and can not be numerically edited or entered.
2. Have the possibility to Copy and Paste Named Views across different models. i.e. select in one CTRL+C and paste in another CTRL+V. Given #1 this should be straight forward as only 7 data-points (6 parameters plus a name) need to be transferred.
3. If something like "Global Project Parameters" would exist - something proposed elsewhere as an idea already - allow Named View parameters (of #1) to use them. Then you can change a single (project global) parameter to adjust the custom views in all the models which have this.

I think the original idea isn't  to make selection sets universal between models, but between workspaces.

For instance, I can create a selection set of faces in the modeling workspace. Then I go to CAM, and it would be great if i could select those same faces for an operation, but there is no way to access the selection sets that I made in the modeling workspace.

For me to simply have selection sets in CAM would be tremendous.

Or can we copy and paste the geometry selections from one operation to the next. This would be especially useful for template applications. Currently I can create a template, apply it to a new part/model, and then have to re-select geometry for each of the operations...it's tedious, and depending on size of the selection set, it can negate any benefits from using templates.
