Section view of bearings, gears etc.

Proper representation of a bearing or a gearing on a 2D drawing requires following of specific rules. Like the surface of teeth should not be sectioned, bearing balls should not be sectioned. What we have now creates a messy 2D drawing which is hard to read for trained engineers. Since I can remember using Inventor or Fusion for drawings ended up in importing it into Autocad and correcting all of that crap. Instead of shiny features and new buttons developers should think about solving that so I could create accurate drawings faster.

If not an automated feature it should be enabled for the users to quicly cleanup the drawing after creation so that we will end up with something commonly reknowned in the industry.

In Pro/E and Creo the designer can edit the section view by selecting the parts that must not be sectioned!

Regenerating the section, this parts are displayed as not sectioned at all.

In general, as a rule, the shafts are not sectioned .........like the vertical shaft in your image.

Thanks for submitting your idea, as you can see from this latest Drawings Roadmap Blog, this feature is in progress, and is called "Component Participation in Section Views". We do not have an ETA yet, but rest assured that it's coming.

and speaking of sectional views I'm convinced that they are much more
important that normal views
especially when the designer is managing very complex mechanisms.

So it would be very important for your team to put in project also the
possibility for a sectional view to be
further utilized for detailed views and further sectioned views..
