mechanical simulation with shell element mesh

mechanical simulation with shell element mesh

 Hi there,

I'm from a startup, which tries to use Fusion 360 for the hole development. This also includes the simulation of the mechanical structure.

In my case I work with a frame structure of thin pipes. But the automatic generated mesh is just using to big elements for an realistic valitation. making the elementsize small enaugth for the thickness causes to many nodes and so needs to much resources for relative simple Objects.

So is there the possibity to generate a mesh with shell elements of a defined thickness? Would also be ok/nice if there is a task to generate/ devine own nodes and elements.

Would be nice, because in other cases it is nice to use Fusion 360 with the easy handling and well structured documentation.

Thank you,

Dominik
