Fusion 360 Frame Generator
I really loved the frame generator in inventor i always use then in making structural frames and now i am using Fusion 360 its time consuming making every profile sketch of each frame member. So having said that i really loved the frame generator to be integrated in fusion 360 thanks,

Hey folks. I totaly agree that we need a frame generator. And also i dont understand why Fusion does not have it jet. The making updates every weeks but nothing about that essential function. I love that you @matthew.nichols put some effort in it but that just a beginning. I tested your plugin and in my opp its much to complicated to use and anything else than productive. What we need is smtg like this:

I am submitting my frame generator addin to the appstore today. I have changed it quite a bit from the initial release that some of you have seen. I will post the link on here once it is published, but would love to get everyones feedback on it once it is out for everyone to use.
Thanks for the update. As soon as you get the link I will give it a try. It has been awhile since I have used Fusion360 but I am willing to give it a shot.
As we prepare to update our sketch roadmap I wanted to provide an update for this specific request. This is on our roadmap and is being reviewed for possible future work. We are actively working on a 3D sketch project that will greatly improve the foundational sketching requirements for quickly generating a frame skeleton, but a frame generator as a feature would be much further out.
Please understand that its very frustrating from our side. Since over 2 years your team is working on this improvement and we have nothing we can work with. @matthew.nichols was working on it and now you say its just a possible future work. 😯
Maybe your team should overthink that CNC, sheet metal and analysis is not everything. This Frame generator function is realy missing in a "one for all" 3D construction software. Hope that the 3D sketch project makes it easier to generate frames. Maybe you can put a tutorial video on Youtube how to model frames without a frame generator.
Think that will help a lot of people. Dont get me wrong...ill love your work and the way you implement the users in the project !
Completely understand. I speak with Matt multiple times a week and am working with him on this stuff as we speak. I'm an old school Inventor guy and completely get what you are saying. Please keep in mind what Matt is building with the API is completely different from our main dev teams build. Matt will continue on his work as he has (he can chime in on that), but soon he will have improved 3D sketching to work with as he builds. I'll get some 3D sketch preview info out as soon as possible.
I would be awesome that Fusion team incorporated the frame generator, i think now days is just not a plus for any CAD, ITS A NEED, as weldements and tube notching.
