Voted. People have been asking for this for years. Doubt it's coming any time soon, but would be VERY handy for visualizing & animating things like live hinges.
Yes. There is no way to easily project things onto a curved surface without taking many additional steps. For example, if you want to place text on a curved surface, you really have to do it one letter at a time for it to be correct. Trying to get a circle to do this is the obvious way in which it is distorted. This probably isn't clear, but being able to bend (flex) a body (or perhaps a sketch) would really help.
@info7JY2S yeah that's OK for some things, but nowhere near as robust as what we're talking about. What we're talking about is like, "Puppet Warp" for CAD. Have you used Rhino?
