In simulation, when a structual load is applied to multiple targets, it is not clear whether
a) the load is applied to each selected target, or
b) the load is divided into multiple targets.
A simple test shows that it is case b).
In the attached figure, 1 N was applied to 2 selected surfaces, and the deformation is 8E-3 mm.
If 1 N is applied to only one of the surfaces, the deformation is again 8E-3 mm.
To apply 1 N on each surface, I had to apply "2 N" on 2 selected surfaces.
Intuitiviely, a) is more natural to me, but is b) the default in Finite Element Analysis software?
