Below are screen shots of the Inventor Coil function which makes it very easy to model a custom thread like the tapered wedge thread pictured. this has been in Inventor for as long as I can remember.
I know there's a dozen or more posts using workarounds but they are all band-aid solutions at best and lack simple ways to accurately control whats happening.
There is no easy way to do this in Fusion and have a dimensionally accurate model.
Could we please allow for the selection of sketch profiles in Fusion so we can have a more robust coil feature?
