add "Arc Length" to radius/diameter dimension options

add "Arc Length" to radius/diameter dimension options

Just cam e across a situation where I needed to be able to constrain the length of arc and couldn't figure out how to do it in sketch.

Also / more generally - path length for curves.

Yes! Could be used as basis for adding wires, orings, cable linkages, etc.

It would be great to be able to display the length of an arc as a dimension.

this is needed for sure...   set the radius and either an end point anchor or center point, and then set the length.

I currently have a perfect real world need for this, because i'm trying to model an existing curved surface, and there just isn't any way to know the angle.

I can measure the length of the edges of an opening in the curved surface.

Yes please, I run into this often.

Another vote! I have been doing this with parameters / constraining angles across both sides of the arc and it's a PITA

Yes we need the Arc length parameter.

Hi,

designing relax chairs need the function. I need the extended length to cut the plywood raw parts.

Important are: startpoint; endpoint and path

Yes, Need length of curves for material list!  Currently figure out mathematically,  Very time intensive.

Yes, this is definitely needed.

I would love to be able to define the length of a spline, as I work as a tent designer and work with set lengths of tent poles.

Definitively the the arc length dimensioning and also constraint is very important.

Ultimately, the length of curve is very good to have.

Hi,

I think, the tool should not only be suitable for arc lengths but also for splines.

Definitely need this function to be able to look at any sketch kinematics.  Ie I want to see how a part might look in two different positions with a flexible member and the only way to approximate this is to define the length of an arc.  This is pretty basic functionality for dimensioning a sketch.

I'm up! Really need it!

Still need it!

It’s easy to understand why they haven’t implemented it because multiplying rθ is the kind of thing computers couldn’t possibly be asked to do, or that they’d have to at least offload to the cloud

I would like it as well!
